Returns and Exchanges
Before initiating any return or exchange, please contact Australian Rod and Custom Components to inform us of the reason for the return and to allow us to expect the item. If a return arrives without prior notification, processing may be delayed until we are contacted. To streamline the process, please complete our returns form:
Most items can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the purchase date. To be eligible for a return or exchange, the item must be in brand new condition, free from scratches or signs of attempted fitment or prior installation. It must also be returned in its original external box and internal packaging to ensure it is suitable for resale.
Depending on the circumstances, Australian Rod and Custom Components may apply a restocking fee of up to 30% of the item’s value at our discretion. You will be informed of any applicable restocking fee during the returns process.
**Please note:** Customers are responsible for all postage costs associated with returns or exchanges due to a change of mind or ordering the wrong item.
Warranty Information
All products sold by Australian Rod and Custom Components are covered by a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty, except for items sold as ‘ex-display’, ‘used’, or ‘minor damage/shop soiled’. Any exceptions will be clearly stated in the item description on the product listing.
Australian Rod and Custom Components reserves the right to repair or replace any faulty goods at our discretion, depending on the circumstances.
Before any warranty claim is processed, the item must be returned to Australian Rod and Custom Components for inspection and assessment. We will make a decision regarding the warranty and notify you of the outcome. Please complete our online warranty form before returning the item in question.
**Please note:** Customers are responsible for all postage costs associated with returning items for exchange or warranty claims. Depending on the circumstances, a credit for postage costs may be issued if we determine the product to be faulty.
Additional Information
* Returns received after 30 days may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 30%.
* No returns will be accepted if we believe our intellectual property has been compromised.
* Returned items must be in NEW and sellable condition with the original packaging to receive a full refund.
* If the item is scratched or damaged, a reasonable fee will be deducted from the refund to cover the cost of the damage.
* If the damage is severe and the item is deemed unsellable, no refund will be provided. This determination is made at the discretion of Australian Rod and Custom Components management.
* You must be the original purchaser of the item to request a return, exchange, or refund.
* Please contact us before attempting to return any items so we can discuss the logistics and responsibility for return postage costs, as this may be determined on a case-by-case basis.
* **THERE ARE NO RETURNS OR WARRANTIES ON GARAGE SALE ITEMS.**
We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind or find a cheaper item elsewhere. However, you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a defect, such as:
* A problem that would have prevented someone from purchasing the item if they had known about it
* The item purchased is deemed unsafe
* The item purchased is significantly different from the sample or description
* The item purchased doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed
Due to the varying nature of our products, refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
If the problem is not major, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it cannot be repaired within a reasonable time, you can choose a refund or replacement. Please keep your proof of purchase, such as your invoice or receipt.
